Newmarket Jigsaw Festival & Gibsons Open 2026
The annual Newmarket Jigsaw Festival is held in St Mary’s church every June. This year it is 21 June 2026.
It was the first jigsaw festival I ever went to, and I had never seen so many rare and vintage jigsaw puzzles. They even had the ‘Call the Midwife’

2025 was the Isle of Wight jigsaw festival’s 30th year!
It started in 1995 when Rev. Stuart Cleaver came up with the idea of displaying his own private collection of jigsaw puzzles to raise funds for the church. Other church members joined in, and 80 puzzles were sold. In 2022, this increased to over 1,100 jigsaw puzzles!

An online shop, featuring probably the largest online selection of pre-owned jigsaws in the UK, supports the Brighouse Charity Jigsaw Festival – a social enterprise which has donated over £171,000 to support disadvantaged and underprivileged children and young people in our local communities.
Cockerham Jigsaw Festival 2026
2 -4 May 2026

Entry fee £2. Children free.
Preloved and new jigsaws for sale. Preloved are made up so that you see that all the pieces are there.
They will be broken up and boxed for you to take home. Follows the morning service on Sunday. Refreshments available.
